Family Cooking Workshop
Growing Our Future Eco Hub 1 Courtenay Rd, OkehamptonFour families cooking seasonal recipes and eating the results!! All ingredients, equipment and guidance supplied. Please note there are two sessions today. A morning one 10:30 - 12:30 and and an afternoon one 1:30 - 3:30 . Booking is essential! These workshops are funded through All Together Okehampton by GWR
Moths, butterflies and insects
We will set up a moth light "trap" the night before and uncover it early in the morning to discover a wide range of moths, guaranteed to amaze children and adults alike. A short walk thru the fields afterwards to look at butterflies and other insects. Camping night before possible by previous arrangement.

Hay Making by Hand
Come to the farm for a fun day making hay by hand the old fashion way, including a picnic lunch on the field.
Autumn Walk & Foray
Join us for a foraging walk thru fields, woodland and garden exploring the edible and medicinal wild plants, trees and fungi that Autumn has to offer.
Wildlife Habitata creation
Creation of wildlife habitat on the farm to increase biodiversity and help wildlife thrive. Pond or Scrub TBC. Refreshments provided
Seasonal Natural Wreaths
Creating a seasonal wreath from all natural materials gathered from our land, no plastic, wires or anything other than plant material, fully compostable afterwards. Two sessions to choose from: 11am-1.30pm and 2.30-5pm

Pricing We have tried to keep prices as affordable as we can whilst ensuring that everyone is paid a fair rate for their work. Most activities feature a reduced rate thanks to the kind support of Okehampton United Charities. If you can’t afford the full rate please buy a ticket at the reduced rate. Do get in touch if cost is a problem.
