Wreath Making Workshop
December 3 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The tradition of bringing evergreens into our homes around the time of the Winter Solstice goes back to pre-Christian times and it was part of Pagan rituals to celebrate the re-birth of the Sun and the coming of Spring, paying tribute to the natural cycles of the Seasons.
Come to the farm to create your own handcrafted wreath from nuts, seeds, leaves and flowers gathered from our land and woodlands. We will have a walk around the land and collect the necessary materials, then go back to the barn and create our own wreaths while sipping a nice hot drink and sharing winter tales.
Wreaths will be made entirely with natural materials and can be composted.
Pricing We have tried to keep prices as affordable as we can whilst ensuring that everyone is paid a fair rate for their work. Most activities feature a reduced rate thanks to the kind support of Okehampton United Charities. If you can't afford the full rate please buy a ticket at the reduced rate. Do get in touch if cost is a problem.
Access We are running minibus transport from Okehampton to out of town locations. Let us know if you would like to use this.
We do hope you enjoy what we are doing and if you are interested in a food and farming activity and can't see it here just let us know and we'll see what we can do.
